Clare has extensive experience of working with schools around all aspects of health education and PSHE generally. Having been a secondary school teacher for many years, in 2003 she moved into an advisory role as a local authority Healthy Schools Coordinator working with all phases of education and delivering the National PSHE CPD programme and training around a broad range of topics.
In 2010 Clare moved into Public Health where she has led on both children and young people's health agenda and public mental health. She now works part time as the mental health and vulnerable groups lead for Bath and North East Somerset Council. She is based in Bath.
Having recently become a freelance trainer with CWMT, Clare is able to offer schools support in delivering preventative approaches to mental health. Areas of interest include: A whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing, building resilience, anxiety, staff wellbeing, exam stress, bullying prevention, self-harm, meeting the needs of boys and young men.
