Schools fundraising pack

We are very grateful indeed when schools raise money for CWMT. It helps us in so many ways: as well as bringing in the money we need to do this vital work, it also helps spread the word about how important it is to look after our mental health, especially when we’re young.

Our fundraising pack is full of useful information, ideas and tips - download your copy here.

Fundraising for workplaces

By fundraising for CWMT, you’ll not only be raising money to enable us to continue our vital work, you’ll also be raising awareness of mental wellbeing amongst your employees and helping build your teams.

One-off activities

Many companies like to organise one-off fundraising activities – perhaps during Mental Health Awareness Week. We are very grateful to all the organisations who do this for us and our Fundraising A-Z offers lots of ideas which can be used in the workplace.

Make us your charity of the year

We are very grateful to the companies, schools and colleges who make us their charity of the year, helping to raise awareness of our work as well as much needed income. Where possible, we will provide a speaker to come and talk to your staff to explain the work of CWMT and give them brief overview of depression and mental wellbeing. If you would like to find out how you can make CWMT your charity of the year, please call us on 01635 969754 or contact us.

Cycling for depression at Eli Lilly

Employees of Basingstoke-based company Eli Lilly organised a team cycle ride, ‘Cycling for teenage depression’ in memory of the son of one of their colleagues who tragically took his own life aged 15.

CWMT visited the team’s offices and gave a talk and the team then had a great day cycling through a local forest, raising £1,000 through sponsorship which the company very kindly matched pound for pound.

“Thank you so much for coming today. I have had so many people come up to me this afternoon to say thank you. Interestingly, different aspects of the talk have resonated with different people and there is no part that I would have left out. It was spot on and has touched a lot of people.”

Matthew Edwards, Eli Lilly

“It is such a pleasure to support you and the school is very appreciative of the resources you are putting into the talks for staff, girls and parents.”
