Kath has a background in education, working as a secondary school teacher in Bristol and Southport for 8 years, teaching French, Spanish and IT. She qualified as a counsellor in 2011 and as a supervisor in 2015.
She has since worked as a counsellor at a high school in Cheshire and at the University of Liverpool. She also has a private practice in Southport where she sees clients, mostly adolescents, and supervise other counsellors. She has developed some training workshops around ethical practice with children and young people, working with risk, mindfulness, anxiety and self-compassion.
Kath has 3 children, one a historian, one a musician (check out her band Crawlers!) and one still at high school. She loves quizzes and gardening, and tries to do yoga every morning to keep herself sane. She walks a lot too and has a rescue dog called Homer who is a Jack Russell terrier and has issues with moving vehicles and bees!
