Sarah is a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with additional post graduate qualifications in Coaching and Nutritional Therapy and a qualified Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructor since 2012.
With more than 20 years’ experience in mental health, Sarah has worked in a range of settings including youth work in schools and as a counsellor for children and young people in the third sector. For 12 years, she was Mental Health Co-ordinator and Head of Mental Health at the University of Warwick, where she developed and delivered Mental Health Awareness training for staff and students and led an experienced team of mental health professionals who supported students experiencing a wide range of mental health issues.
She has delivered engaging and inclusive training and teaching on a wide range of topics including:
Anxiety, depression and psychosis
Recognising and responding to distress including suicidal thoughts and behaviour
Whole person and whole institution approaches to mental health
In addition to delivering training for CWMT, Sarah teaches accredited counselling and mental health modules for the University of Oxford and University of Warwick and has a small private practice as a therapist and supervisor.
